Miry Meadow has become the first development in the High Peak to qualify for the Government's HomeBuy Direct scheme offering first time buyers living or working in the area with an annual household income of less that £60k the chance to obtain an equity loan for up to 30% of their desired new build property's value.

The loan is interest free for 5 years and purchasers will own 100% of the property, despite only paying a percentage of its market value.  There is no rent to pay and interest is only payable in year six (1.75%, increasing by the RPI plus 1% each year after).

The loan can be repaid early using Staircase Payments - please ask for details. When the property is sold, the purchaser simply repays the same percentage of the selling price from the sale proceeds as was borrowed when the property was initially purchased, e.g. those borrowing 30% of the value to buy will repay 30% of the value back when selling.

Applicants must meet qualifying criteria and all applications will be assessed by the EMHA (HomeBuy Agents).
